Franks: Reviews & Ratings
Fantastic cafe run by two legends. Phenomenal rolls
I bought a very yummy fresh roll for lunch from Frank's and I really enjoyed it :). The only thing that could've been improved, would be the quality of the bacon.
Super-friendly café opposite Olympia, used to go there during London Book Fair to avoid queues & paying £8 for a sandwich. Nostalia trip March ‘25 & delighted to find chatty staff & proper food. Bacon sarnie & tea - fiver. Quality.

Welcome to Franks, the charming café tucked away on Addison Bridge Place in London. This beloved local spot has garnered a loyal following, thanks not only to its delicious offerings but also to the warm, friendly atmosphere fostered by the dedicated team behind the counter.
Franks stands out with its delightful selection of rolls and sandwiches that are perfect for any meal of the day. Customers rave about their breakfast sandwiches—a true hallmark of British comfort food. One local, Christopher Wold, describes these sandwiches as “a real breakfast,” crafted with skill and care. The simple yet effective combination of flavors leaves you wanting more. Whether you prefer it salty and greasy or are a fan of a straightforward black coffee, Franks caters to all tastes with straightforward honesty and quality.
The café's atmosphere is an inviting one. It’s described as a “time warp no frills” spot, where the décor takes a backseat to what really matters: good food and genuine service. Diners can enjoy their meals standing and chatting with the engaging staff, creating a vibrant, communal experience reminiscent of classic British cafés. This aspect is what sets Franks apart from the chains, offering a slice of nostalgia that leaves patrons feeling at home.
Although there have been a couple of constructive critiques regarding some menu items, like the bacon quality noted by a satisfied customer, the overwhelming consensus is clear: Franks is about accessibility and comfort. David Perry, a regular visitor during the London Book Fair, highlights the café's affordability. The bacon sarnie and tea for just five pounds keeps customers coming back to avoid overpriced sandwiches in the area.
In summary, Franks is not just a café; it's a culinary landmark filled with character and community spirit. Each visit assures a friendly face and a fantastic roll that delivers on flavor without the fuss. If you're in the vicinity of Olympia, stop by Franks for a taste of honest food and comforting ambiance—you won't be disappointed!
